Picture with my momma because today is Mother's Day! My mom is probably one of the most amazing people in the world that I know of (which I'm sure all of y'all will agree that your momma's the best) Not only did she gave birth to my brother and I, is the only person working to support my family, but always have been the main supporter of my family. She is kind, thoughtful and always know the right thing to say. Extremely sentimental and motherly, smart, clever, funny & a social butterfly. Well loved by everyone. Valedictorian all through out grade school and high school back in VN, and ranked 7 out of her university. A well versed writer, and devout Buddhist, and the most loving mother I've ever known.
She has taught me, everything needs to have a reason. If I were to scold a kid at temple, I would have to explain to them what they did wrong, and what they can do next time. She has taught me to back up my statements with truth. Not only that, she gave me courage to stand up for what I believed in (for when I was treated unkindly at work) She also gave me strength to pursue my college dreams and totally support my decision to go to UCLA instead of UCI. She has always supported me in my extracurricular activities, not just high school but way back, when I was a toddler: swimming, piano, temple, orchestra, karate, running club, cross country, soccer, track, csf, nhs, key club, circle k, vsu modern, unicamp, dance marathon...the list goes on and on.
Not once has she complained about paying for my many banquets during senior year. Not once has she complained about me coming home late every day. Not once has she complained about me not going home so often my first year of college. She was always patient with me and my never-ending excuses, which were really never-ending. I thought she wasn't going to be okay finding out my relationship with my boyfriend either, but she ended up going along with it.
Overall, she's an amazing woman that deserves a platinum (forget gold!) Olympic medal for being such a champ because she IS one. Being the core to my family and not falling apart all these 20 something years is a HUGE deal. I wish I can appreciate her more often because she deserves to be treated as a queen. Now that after the accident, her capabilities have shrunk to just easy household tasks, and we have to drive her everywhere. But she is going back to work on Monday & let's hope she will make a full recovery.
I love you Mẹ, and I don't tell it to you often enough. I hope you have a wonderful amazing day today doing what you love best (being our Mother!)
